PROTECTION AGAINST THE EVIL JINNS.

1 - Eating Dates

Eat seven pressed dates in the morning before eating any food if you can. Dates should preferably be from Al-Madinah. If this is not possible, then eat any pressed dates. The Prophet SAW said, "Whoever eats seven pressed dates every morning before eating any food, will not be affected by poison or sihr!"

2 - Al-Wudhu

Sihr does not affect a person in a state of wudhu, for he is protected by an angel sent by the Merciful (Allah). Ibn 'Abbas (RA) reported: "The Prophet (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said:

1. When you say: La ilaha illAllaah – wahdahu laa shareeka lahu – lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu – wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.  [There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone.  He has no partners.  To Him belongs the Dominion, to Him belongs all praise and He is capable over all things] a hundred times a day.
The evidence is what has been reported in the Saheeh of al Bukhaari and Muslim from Abu Hurayrah (ra) that Allaah’s Messenger (saw) mentioned the above words and then said:  “He will receive the reward of setting free ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be written for him and a hundred bad deeds will be erased from him.  It will be a sanctuary from Shaytaan for him on that day until he reaches the evening.  No one will come with something better except one who increases beyond that”.
2. Recitation of Ayaat ul-Kursi when you go to bed.
Abu Hurayrah (ra) reported that the Messenger (saw) put him in charge of guarding the zakaah of Ramadan and someone would come and take handfuls from the zakaah for two nights in succession. On the third night, he (Abu Hurayrah) grabbed him and said: “I will take you to Allaah’s Messenger (saw)”.  He (the thief) said:

Dowry and Our Attitude - an Islamic perspective

Dowry is a virus in Marriage and ‘Mahr’ is an antivirus. So install a powerful antivirus and do not allow the virus to enter and destroy your life.

Dowry is one of the important issues of this hour. Many of young girls are waiting to get married and lead a normal life with husband and children. They are destroying their age in this matter and at the end ends up with marrying a wrong person. Dowry is an evil which destroys the relation and society as a whole.

Many of the men, so called religious and moderate thinkers, support dowry – directly or indirectly. They didn’t oppose it when it comes to their marriage. They become silent spectators when their parents demand dowry from would-be parents-in-law. They have the lame excuses of obeying parents. They didn’t bother to change the home in which they live in, as they have enough strength to change the evil customs. They disobey their parents in so many things which they should not, and when it comes to obey Allah and the Messenger, they realize of obeying parents. Remember, Obeying Allah and his Messenger has priority over everything else, even parents (ref: Al Quran 9:24)
